Final Illusion is a technology fiction and dream press franchise created by Hironobu Sakaguchi, and developed and possessed by Square Enix (formerly Square). The franchise centers around some fantasy and technology fantasy role-playing video gaming (RPGs). The eponymous first game in the series, posted in 1987, was conceived by Sakaguchi as his last-ditch work in the overall game industry; the name was successful and spawned sequels. The gaming series has since branched into other styles such as tactical role-playing, action role-playing, massively multiplayer online role-playing, race, third-person shooter, preventing, and tempo.
